Pros: Ease of Use, Effectiveness, Overall Quality
Cons: None
really convenient and effective. my most used sharpener now
Easy to maintain constant edge angle in use.Seems reasonably robust and pretty protective from self harm ;-)I hope the surfaces last. I have used it at least weekly, sometimes daily for multiple months so far.Now that I have one, i find that my DMT diamond plates (C-EF) and Japanese water stones (700-10K) are getting a lot less use.I have found that for std. Wusthof/Henckels/Victorinox kitchen knives and SAK, and folders of Aus-8, AUS-10 (and Chinese equivalents), 12C27, and ATS-34, this is really all i need. The finest grit on this sharpener at "1200" (?ANSI), is somewhere around 3000-4000 Japanese grit equivalent, IIRC. That's enough for field and kitchen, for me. For the usual 55-59 Rockwell kitchen knives i find this is better than using a standard steel hone, if used with a light hand to avoid removing too much metal.Glad I bought it, and i hope it lasts. If it got worn out, i would replace it.

Great tool
I had one stolen at an airport. I am so happy to have one again. My knifes are sharperners than ever. Receiving it, I spent an half morning on my kitchen knives, and on my pocket one. Slowly, gently, but firmly. Sharpening, of course.
