G if your disappointed with the edge that's because you must sharpen it. I do not understand it but some folks do not want a razor sharp knife for what ever reason so as a distributor it is easier for a bloke to sharpen a knife than it is to dull one hence you have what you have I got mine and put a razors edge on it that cuts through Kleenex with ease. Use a cutlery sets sharpening rod they work wonders as for me I enjoy sharpening my own knives I have an old CASE XX @ FINN with the black handle that knife is so sharp I don't let any one touch it, in fear they might open themselves up with it
