Heads Up, Hunters/Birdwatchers/Sports Fans/Sight See-ers
How many times has your hunting buddy handed you the binoculars, and said, “Look at that 12 point buck, that just stepped out from behind the pines,” and by the time you get the two focal planes adjusted for the distance and your eyes, the deer has moved back into the trees. Or, your wife hands you the binoculars and says, “Check out that bald eagle there in the tree,” and by the time you have them focused-in, the eagle has flown off. Or, you’re at a college football game, and your tailgating buddy says, “Check this out, a naked woman is streaking across the end zone!” and by the time you… (Yeah, that never happens to me, either. They never share the binoculars when that happens). But, you get the picture. That is the beauty of this Carson Blackwave Monocular: quick on target/fast focus. Blackwave is light weight/compact: perfect for the bug-out bag, hunting pack, backpacking/camping/canoeing, and sporting events (won’t become a, ‘pain-in-the-neck,’ either). Close focus ability is nice for watching humming birds on the bee balm, wrens feeding their young, Baltimore Orioles on the orange halves you set out for them. Fairly good low light transmission, so you can discover the raccoon that has been raiding your bird feeder at dusk, or the great blue heron that helps itself to the $100 koi in your backyard pond in the early morning twilight (Yeah, that will never happen to me, either, or I’d probably be reviewing the $3000 thermal monocular). Good quality for the price.
