A classic wilderness knife designed by custom knifemaker Roger Harrington, England.

Proper full-tang knife with a blade measuring 3.5" long, straight, and fairly round handle made to suit both large and small hands. The leather cord for the handle and a strong deep pocket leather sheath is included. 

The blade is made of around 0.16" thick Sleipner tool steel to make the blade extremely durable for heavy use such as log-splitting, or so-called "batoning" without making the knife too heavy or uncomfortable to carry. The knife has a Scandinavian grind to make it very robust at the same time easy to carve wood with and easy to sharpen on a small flat whetstone/sharpener in the forest. The knife is a really good all-around tool for field use. 

ABOUT SLEIPNER

Made in Germany by Bohler Uddeholm, Sleipner tool steel was developed to be a better D2. Under certain conditions at high hardness levels, D2 can have a tendency to micro-chip. Sleipner offers many of the advantages as a high hardness tool steel like D2 while offering a much more stable edge. It also offers good wear resistance at high hardness levels, meaning it can take and hold an edge quite well. Sleipner has a lower Chromium content than D2, and it is recommended to keep the blade oiled to help resist surface corrosion.

Roger Harrington is an experienced outdoorsman and knife maker who has taught Bushcraft and survival to civil and military customers for the last twenty years with his company Bison Bushcraft in Sussex, England.
