When looking for an EDC knife, one of the most important considerations is accessibility to bring the knife to bear quickly. The Pyrite uses a combination of its button lock mechanism with ceramic ball bearings in the pivot to make this knife quick to deploy and always ready in hand. The smooth action allows the blade to be flicked open with one hand with a press of the button lock or a flick of the thumbstuds. This knife can easily double as a fidget toy with how much it is to use. The blade is made from AR-RPM9, a proprietary steel that compares to D2 steel with an advantage in corrosion resistance. The handles are comfortable to hold and fits well in the hand thanks to its gentle curve and bevel designed to accommodate the index finger. The Pyrite comes with a reversible deep carry stainless steel pocket clip that allows it to be discreetly carried with you wherever you may go.

Love this knife! I normally rotate knives every 2 or 3 days but since getting the Pyrite it's all I've carried for over 2 months. I also have the Ekko which is a great knife as well but the thumb studs on the Pyrite put it over the top for me. It's time to order the Alt Pyrite also the all steel version. Cjrb makes great knives and I own several as well as Civivis, Sencut etc. but the Pyrite has been my favorite. Get one for yourself. You'll love it I promise!

What a beauty! The last time a was this enamored with an EDC blade was when I bought my first Bradley Alias. That “poor man’s sebenza” was/is still one of my all time favorite folders. My all steel Pyrite is every bit as good! The fit, finish, action and quality of this gem is incredible at less than $50. We are truly living in a golden age of production knives. I have an all-steel wharncliffe model on the way. To my mind, it’s the perfect little EDC folder.
