All good so far!
I've only had this tomahawk for a couple of days, but it's been great so far. It came reasonably sharp and seems to be holding it's edge just fine with the bit of use I've gotten out of it in the back yard. . . Splitting some fire wood, chopping a few dead branches, and taking down a couple of little saplings back along our tree line. I love being able to get my grip right up behind the blade for making shavings and other smaller cutting tasks, and it splits better than I would have expected for how light it is. The balance and feel is definitely different from your average hatchet or small axe, and it feels a little awkward to me when chopping limbs and saplings. I'm pretty sure that's just a learning curve kind of thing though, and not a design flaw. Just something to be aware of if you're a first time tomahawk buyer like me.I will say that the handle seems a little thin to me, but I plan to wrap it with leather, which I think should make it just right for me. The sheath/blade cover is great, but the ties that attach the strap seemed pretty wimpy to me, so I traded them out for paracord. The strap seems like a great idea, but so far it just doesn't seem to work well for me, so I suspect I'll probably end up just removing it and tucking the thing in my belt or lashing it to my pack when I need to carry it. Your milage may vary.
