CS92SF: Special Forces Shovel

Cold Steel

The Special Forces Shovel is modeled after the original Soviet Spetznaz shovel. The Spetznaz soldiers made up the most elite unit in the Soviet Army. The U.S. equivalent would be our Green Berets. The shovel head and socket are forged from medium carbon steel, then heat treated for maximum strength. The edges come sharpened to a utility/axe edge that can easily be improved to razor sharpness.

The Special Forces Shovel can be used with a specially made cordura sheath. The sheath features an extra wide belt loop. The sheath and the shovel are available for sale as a stand alone items. New models come sharpened on three sides.

Great throwing shovel
Bought this shovel and sheath to throw. It’s a lot of fun have only done single rotation from about 15’. It a good flyer and lite. It has multiple edges that are sharp ( a good reason to get the sheath) and it’s also a great shovel for your trunk,pick up,suv,camping,trail repair and maintenance,Dutch oven cooking the list is long for the usefulness of this well built sturdy tool.

danged good little shovel
I've used this shovel to break up a root knitted sand pile and dig in loam-clay soil full of rocks and in both instances the shovel worked as advertised. The blade, as far as my needs was sharp enough to work efficiently in both circumstances. It's way better than the HF folding shovel I had been using, the HF is now mothballed in the reserve fleet.

Gem of a tool for it's price!
How many times these days can one say, "Great value for the price?" These are handy little gems that might bail one out of many different situations. I own two: one for my truck, and one for my camp kit. Best $19.00 I've spent in a long while. Cheaper than a bad date and way more useful.
