I bought this to flatten my Waterstones. It works but the diamonds started coming off after flattening 3 stones. It cuts average steels fast and I have yet to use it for higher end steel.

What did you expect?
This 6"x2" DMT stone is exactly like it's big brother, the 8"x3" DMT Diasharp, only smaller. It is very flat, has diamonds on top, and works perfectly for sharpening knives and such if you know how to use it, which I do, so I'm all for it, no kidding, take my word for it, I have DMT stuff way aplenty.
