Perfect finish
After using DMT diamond Dia-Sharp plates and Spyderco ceramic stones for years to sharpen my knives I wanted to try a natural Arkansas stone. I went with the translucent stone because I'm happy with how the DMT diamonds do with heavy cutting and edge repair, but I wanted something special for final polishing. I'm very happy with how this stone performs; it doesn't leave a mirror polish, but it puts a very fine edge on and has a great 'feel' on the blade while using. I used it on some German chefs knives, a VG10 Shun, S30V Para 2, a ZDP blade and 1095 carbon steel, and it handled all the different steels great.
