DX4195: Replica Edward Teach Pirate Sabre with Scabbard, Brass
Denix
Edward "Blackbeard" Teach began his criminal career under the command of Benjamin Hornigold after the Spanish Civil War (1700-1713). On board of the "Queen Anne's Revenge" he plundered the Caribbean and the Atlantic coast of North America. Teach's impressive height intimidated his foes. He used to go to battle armed with several swords, knives and three pairs of guns. He streaked his beard with ignited gunpowder and when he went into battle and those who saw him fighting with a cloud of smoke around his head said he looked like the devil. Teach met his end in May 1718 when he blockaded the port of Charleston. This reproduction sword features a brass finished metal handle and thin metal blade. The blade is intentionally unsharpened, making this a great display piece for any part of the house. Comes with a hardened plastic scabbard.
