Ever since Andy Roy scaled back the Fiddleback Forge to just himself, allowing him to take on ever more ambitious knife builds, he has been turning out some of the best pieces of his entire career.

The Fiddleback Forge Chickadee model is a special knife to Andy. This line of knives was designed at the request of a good friend and customer as a tribute to his mother. The Chickadee features comfortable curvy handles and a scalloped pommel termination. It is very comfortable in the hand as any good Fiddleback should be. It is a Hiking Buddy-sized knife with a slightly upswept clip point. The Drop Point Chickadee is just as the name suggests: the same design as the Chickadee, but with a drop point instead of the upswept point of the original. Really a great bushcrafting and EDC knife. 

When it comes to handle comfort, Roy is truly a master. Just like Michelangelo would carve away the marble to reveal the sculpture within, Andy telepathically knows exactly what is needed to create the most comfortable handles we have ever had the pleasure of holding. Exotic materials and fancy elements such as multiple liners, unique pin patterns, and the signature bullseye lanyard tube set them apart visually as well.
