Fox Knives

This FX-140 Fixed Blade from Fox Knives draws a fine line between a hunting and a camp kitchen knife. The broad blade is reminiscent of a chef's knife, with a nearly quarter-inch thick Niolox construction that performs well in rugged outdoor tasks. The jute Micarta handles provide a solid grip in which to utilize its large blade in any task around the camp you could wish. The knife comes complete with a black leather belt sheath.

pro's:Grinds, fit and finish excellent.Sharpness 8/10.Esthetically pleasing.Sheath seems handmade with good effort fits well.Packaging on the better side.cons:PriceHandle to small about 90mm uncomfortable.Sheath leather 2mm bit thin expected thicker for price, exposed retaining clip scratches/marks knife on inside of the sheath.

SPECS MISLEADDING
The knife is one of the few that are in my KEEPER category, I'm writing this as a review as I almost did not purchase because the handle length is incorrect, it is actually 4 and seven eighths inches. I purchased because when I took the full length minus the blade length I knew the handle length was suspect.It's a great knife, handle Micarta and comfortable, blade shape perfect for me, a camp knife good for food prep and stout enough to act as a chopper.Enjoy !
