The Dredge Folding Shovel from Gerber is a heavy collapsible shovel great for camping or even combat operations. Its collapsible nature allows it to be transported and still have the size to dig deep holes. The large shovel head is made from tan powder-coated high-carbon steel and comes with flat areas that allow you to use your feet to push the blade deeper. The blade can be secured while half open which allows the Dredge to perform double duty as a hoe in a pinch. The collapsible handle is made from glass-filled nylon with a rubber overmold grip for extra purchase. The design and materials of the Dredge combine to make it lightweight despite its size and able to travel the outdoors with you.
