Good little tool initially very hard to open
I needed a pocket sized multitool and chose the Dime. I perhaps unintelligently ordered the all black. When I got it I almost had to use another tool to get the tools out of the handles. Once I got them out I opened and closed them for about 30 minutes and then did a good wipe down of the tool. I got a fair bit of dust and crud off the implements which I believe was some of the black coating. The tools are still difficult to get out of the handles but are loosening up. I might suggest getting either of the other two without the black coating.I will say that the pliers work well. They are not at all difficult to deploy, are strong for the size and are well lined up. This is a keeper for me but might take a bit of fiddling to get it where I really like it.

I am back for another Gerber Multitool. I frell in love when I receiv
I use this product almost daily, The Gerber Dime is light enough to carry around your neck, and soon we became the best of friends. I live in a nursing home and some thing always needs to be opened ; it’s either do it your self, or wait until the next morning, for one of the maintenance crew to come in in the morning. Well, I got tired waiting until the next morning then I received some information from knifecenter.com and I am buying another one which is still affordable, and I have never had any problems with my Gerber mini tool. It sounds like Gerber has made some nice changes to the the Gerber Dime I bought a few years ago Gerber Dime, several years ago. I don’t see any wrong with carrying this useful tool on a lanyard around my neck do it is always easy to get the tool you need for pretty near every small task you comes around the corner at you at full speed.
