Good value
Durable and sharp knife to leave in the truck and forget about till you need it. Lose one point for sheath. It does the job but you need two hands to release the knife.

Tried and trusted,and consistent quality
I wanted a good tactical Knife for self defense, after studying different knives, I decided on the Glock 81. The slender blade is excellent for penetration, giving one a reassurance that it will puncture that bag of mulch up to the hilt. The polymer handle is the same extremely tough plastic that Glocks pistols are made of. They will take a hard beating time after time. The steel is 1095 spring steel, a softer steel that will take a pounding with less of a chance of chipping. Like some harder steels. The tradeoff is it won't hold an edge as long, but it is easy to sharpen. Mine came about as sharp as a mashed potato sammich! So I had to sharpen it up then I gave it a good stropping. The point is also dull...by design to make it stronger and less prone to bending or breaking off completely. The deployment takes some getting use to,as it has a latch which is super tight in the sheath, also made of the same polymer. After you get the technique down it isn't too hard, but if I were in battle I would prefere an easier deployment. Not that I'm going to be in any battles. The only downer is the black coating, when I sharpened the blades edge that coating gummed up the edge, and kinda clogged my diamond plate that I had to clean off several times. I would been glad to pay another $25.00 to have a DLC coating, which in my opinion is the best coating to protect the blade. But it is what it is. To sum it up you are getting a great value for a low cost, that I wish Benchmade would take notice of., but will never happen as they brainwashed gullible people into spending a kings ransom for a tiny Bugout that probably cost them $30.00 to produce. But thats another story. I would buy at least two like I did so I can have one in my hiking bag, and one in my vehicle.
