Halfbreed Blades

The CCK-03 (Compact Clearance Knife) – Tuhon Raptor from Halfbreed Blades, is designed as a fast access, multi-purpose compact clearance tool, intended for use by specialist military and law enforcement professionals. Developed in collaboration with Special Operations CQC Instructor Jared Wihongi, the CCK-03 ‘Tuhon Raptor' is capable of truly remarkable performance.  Conceived with Filipino Martial Arts practitioners in mind, the Talon point and multi-edge blade profile maximizes the effectiveness of hooking, trapping, slashing, and thrusting.

The Tuhon Raptor and Trainer Bundle includes a live blade CCK-03 and a CCK-03 Trainer in HIVIS red. To better simulate practical training scenarios, the CCK-03 Trainer is made from steel and is virtually identical in weight to the live edge variant. The non-sharpened safe edge Trainer is universally compatible with the live blade carry system.

  • Modified talon point design optimizes piercing efficiency.
  • Live edge identifier at the three-quarter length of the handle enables the user to orientate the primary cutting edge by feel.
  • The beveled ring design enhances the tool's accessibility and comfort, making it exceptionally fast and easy to draw.
  • The concave thumb recess at the top of the ring supports a positive grip and the application of downward force.
  • US-made G10 handle scales are ergonomically contoured for enhanced feel and no-snag on gear or clothing.
  • Handle scales are secured by steel torx fittings.
  • Injection-molded single column PALS/MOLLE compatible sheath. We believe the carry system supplied with each tool is as important as the tool it protects. Each sheath is precision-molded for secure retention and easy maintenance. All CCK-03 sheaths are supplied with two primary attachment options including Belt & PALS/MOLLE.
  • To complete the package, the CCK-03 is presented in a foam-lined presentation case complete with a warranty statement, certificate of authenticity, specifications card, morale patch, and vinyl sticker.

Not child friendly
Picked up the Hardcore Hardware ASOT-01 years ago then the CCK-02 from Halfbreed earlier this year. The Raptor was a gift for by birthday and it's certainly a very ‘different’ blade, meant to do very specific things we probably shouldn't talk about in polite conversation lol!In summary the CCK-03 is sharp, slashy, stabby stuff you’d need practice with not to cut yourself! It's cool but not for the EDC fixed blade novice. Be carefully, it’s not child friendly AT ALL. :-)

For Specialist Professionals
This tool is absolutely lethal! The deployment and usage is virtually identical to the SOCP but this design has blade geometry that opens up a whole new world of cutting.The handle and ring offer a variety of interesting ways to hold the knife for hooking, trapping and slashing.Mine came razor sharp, love how wicked it looks.Only cons would be sharpening, I have no idea where to start if/when I need to sharpen it.Before buying, look up Jared @ Tricom Training to get a better understanding of what the knife does and how to use it effectively.

It looks simply awful.The design requires you to grip it a single way, eliminating the possibility of ambidextrous draw. And if you dare to place your thumb on the back of the blade for leverage, you'll slice yourself down to the bone.Asinine design.
