The Hellbender Blade Co. Newt is a small but mighty fixed blade designed to disappear in the pocket until the moment you need it. Despite its compact footprint, the handle is sized to wrap all four fingers around comfortably, giving the carrier real control and leverage for a knife this size, a balance that's harder to achieve than it looks. The CPM-Magnacut sheepsfoot blade keeps the profile snag-free and safe in the pocket while still offering a capable, full-length cutting edge for everyday tasks, and the OD green Micarta handles lend a warm, classic look that pairs naturally with the two-tone blade finish. The minimal Kydex sheath is wire-clip compatible right out of the box, making pocket carry, pack attachment, or belt carry all viable options without needing aftermarket accessories. Made in the USA and finished by hand, the Newt punches well above its size and weight.

Handy little EDC tool
Convenient carry with useful blade shape. Small and light, disappears in a pocket. Kydex sheath fits perfectly. Handle is thin and light but substantial enough for 3-fingers. Works particularly well with my index finger on the blade spine. I ordered a wire pocket clip direct from Hellbender because KnifeCenter didn’t have them in stock, so the knife now always sits in the same spot. I wish a clip was included with the knife instead of a separate purchase. UltiClip would also work but I prefer the deeper carry afforded by a wire clip on the handle. I am also sure I will lose the sheath because it’s not attached to my pocket while I’m using the knife, so I hope KnifeCenter or Hellbender get replacements in stock soon.
