A strop is the perfect thing for putting the final edge on all your knives and can be integrated into any sharpening system under the sun. It works with any edged tool and especially excels at convex edges and Scandi grinds.

The JRE Industries Strop Strap is the last hanging strop you will ever need to buy. Approximately 31 inches long by 1.8 inches wide it is large enough to handle any knife and tons of other sharpened tools from hatchets to razors and more. A heavy-duty D-ring is placed at one end for easy attachment to a workbench or wall mount (use a carabiner, cordage, or whatever you prefer) while the other end features a sewn handle for a simple secure and comfortable grip. For more versatility it can also be placed flat against a surface if you need a more rigid experience. One side is pre-treated with black (medium-fine) abrasive compound and the other is left as raw leather for final edge finishing.
