It is a beast for sure
I can tell you out of the box this stone is ultra mean and aggressive. It has large pieces of grit that WILL break off on first few uses. Break this stone in on something very dull like an old "survival knife" that is cheap. Very light pressure and use lots of water/dish soap mix as a lube. Again there will be a very coarse aggressive feel and grit high spots with shedding of the grit. After break in, even the Beast becomes calmer and becomes a valuable tool. It will for sure be valuable when re-profiling or trying to work out some major defects. Do not try to form a burr with it, just cut your angles on both sides and go too 100 or 140 grit for bevel forming.
