Great Value & Steel!!!
The Trick to always having a Sharp Chef’s Knife is to own more than One! This knife is made of a generic version of X50, which is a German Culinary Steel that is awesome in the kitchen, my very favorite. The handle indexes perfectly in the hand. It’s a wonderful Backup Kitchen Knife for those on a Budget. Yes it is a thin Stamped blade, but it’s nice and slicey and the Ergonomics are fantastic. I would not recommend Breaking a Tuna or Beef Ribs with it, but for 95% of Home Kitchen Work it’s quite adequate.Tremendous Value, and Knifecenter’s service, packaging, and shipping were flawless.

Great knife excellent sheath
I use this knife multiple times daily,It feel good in my hands I use a pinch grip. The knife is very sharp but I stropped it and did three swipes on the ceramic rod. Is does a great job slicing through meat, and trimming the fat out. The blade is very thin making slicing a dream.it is also good at crushing garlic. The sheath is great for protecting the tip and the edgeI recommend this knife for the great value to

Very sharp, excellent slicer
I was impressed by the sharpness of this knife right out of the package. I very rarely go out to eat,and I love to cook so having a good chefs knife is a must have. This knife is very thin making it an excellent slicer,I haven't tried splitting a butternut squash yet but I think it may be too light weight to handle such a task. I use my Mercer Renaissance for the harder cutting tasks. This knife has a polypropylene handle which will not hold bacteria or give you splinters like a wood handle does. I would have liked to have more texture for a firm grip when wet. The knife is well balanced making using the knife for extended periods of time easy on the hands and wrist. The slicing of vegetables is pure joy,as it glides through tomatoes with ease,as well as all the other veggies. The belly is just right for rocking and hand position when making delicate cuts with the blade tip,I don't have to raise my arm too mutch. The price is great! especially considering it comes with a sheath, protecting the blade. although this knife is low cost I respect it enough to NEVER put it in a dishwasher. I just keep a damp rag at my food prep station so I can wipe the blade when needed.then when I am finished I use a sponge and detergent to clean thoroughly, before drying with a clean rag
