This three-piece Kai Luna 3 Piece Set provides the key knives every kitchen needs: a chef's knife, a utility knife, and a paring knife. The Luna Chef's Knife is an all-purpose kitchen knife. Slicing, dicing, mincing—it does it all. The Luna Multi-Utility Knife is a medium-sized knife ideal for preparing shallots, garlic, herbs, or fruits. With its slim tip, it's also great for boning and filleting. The paring knife is perfect for peeling fruit, hulling strawberries, or mincing a clove of garlic. Any job that requires precise and delicate work is a great job for the Luna Paring Knife.

The Kai Luna series offers exciting style and performance at a value price. With its unique hammered finish, it offers eye-catching good looks, but the Luna series also gives you top cutting performance. Its high-carbon stainless steel blade has been expertly hardened for exceptional edge retention, strength, and rigidity. The mirror polish on the upper part of the blade and a graze finish on the lower part add beauty as well as enhancing stain and corrosion resistance. The edge is hand sharpened and finished to a razor-sharp 16° cutting edge on each side. Luna's quality steel is easily the equal of much higher-priced competitors. For comfortable cutting, Luna's handles offer lightweight maneuverability and reduced cutting fatigue. Soft-grip overlays on the top and bottom of the handle provide a secure grip.

Got these for Mothers Day! They are thin and sharp though a little strop work polished the edge so they glide through anything likely to be encountered in the kitchen and vicinity. Home-grown tomatoes have tougher skin than store bought and they can be sliced, and diced perfectly The pictures make them look like water drops, that is just the hammer texturing. I find the handles to be a tad longer than necessary but not a down rate as they are otherwise quite comfortable. The price point is the final clincher you can't beat the set at this price.

Great set!!
I've had these knives for a couple months now and they're still sharp as ever. The construction is great, and the handles have a great feel. I would highly recommend these knives!

KAI Luna Kitchen Knife Set
I purchased these kitchen knives for my wife's birthday. They arrived out-of-the-box sharp as one would expect from KAI, My wife's many kitchen knives are always sharp as I am a "knife guy", so she expected no less from her newest knives. She particularly likes the extra comfortable handles on the Lunas--particularly the fact that the paring knife has a full-size handle. Of course she thinks the hand hammered blades are beautiful. We highly recommend this set for high quality knives at a very good price point.
