Liong Mah's Eutektik brand has discovered the Dark Matter of the knife market – namely, left-handers who want to eschew the Right-Handed Hegemony and buy knives made just for them. This market has heretofore been teased by Chris Reeve and flatly ignored by Böker; but now, there's clear evidence that "We are here we are here!" is more than merely the cry of microscopic critters living in Horton the Elephant's speck.The Binary continues Eutektik's solid line of dependable, southpaw-friendly larger-than-average EDC knives. With the expected range of basic-but-aesthetic G10 handle colors, solid liner locks that work naturally with our dominant opposable thumbs, and strong but well-ground and suitably slicey blades in 14C28N, we left-handers now have options. The flipping action is smooth and snick-y with both the back and front flippers; the fuller enables controlled thumb-driven opening; the liner lock falls dependably into place, yet is the right kind of easy to push out of the way to unlock the blade; and the handle is long and broad enough to provide a firm grasp with a variety of grips.Make no mistake, this is not a small knife. The blade is long for a folder, and the unguarded choil/ricasso is necessary to provide finer control. (Also, the grind on my blade is most assuredly near-full-flat, not hollow as listed here).And, the mint on the pillow: The knife shows up with the pocket clip installed on the proper side for left-hand carry.
