L.T. Wright Handcrafted Knives

The L.T. Wright GNS is all Go and No Show! It has everything it needs to be a comfortable and capable bushcraft knife without anything extra to detract from a pure cutting experience.

The drop point blade is reminiscent of the Ray Mears Woodlore knife, the archetype for modern bushcraft blades. It lends itself well to any task, from woodcarving to skinning to drilling.

O1 tool steel is a classic choice for this style of knife, renowned for its toughness, ease of maintenance, and the ability to take a keen edge. The Scandi grind is finished by hand and then hard-buffed at the edge to add toughness while maintaining ease of sharpening and strong cutting abilities.

Like all L.T. Wright Knives, the GNS features a 90-degree spine for striking a fire steel. It also features comfortable contoured handles finished by hand to remove any hotspots. They are secured to the tang with a combination of Loveless-style bolts and high-strength epoxy for a lifetime of durability.

The knife would not be complete without a good sheath, and the included JRE Industries leather sheath has good retention and a 3/8" diameter leather loop on the side to facilitate easy carry of a fire steel. Additional rivets allow versatile lashing options. The sheath can be used with the included dangler attachment for drop leg carry. If you prefer your knife to carry higher on the belt, you can remove the dangler, or simply fold it underneath and out of the way.

Great item, fast shipping, good service, as expected
The micarta darkens pretty fast, especially if you have a small amount of oil residue on your hands. It looks dark now. The orange doesn't look weird. The O1 is taking a natural patina well. The feel in my hand is better than I expected and I'm not a huge guy. If you're on the fence, I recommend it. At first I had regrets but this knife has grown on me. I find myself picking it up a lot just to hold it, and that's not something I normally do. I'm not sure about the grind yet. Time will tell.
