Jonathan McNees has a distinct style that is exemplified in his Dixon and Skybolt folders. These knives are fantastically engineered - built strong, but not overbuilt. They are designed for specific tasks, which they excel at, with a touch of flair.

Jonathan is particularly excited about the Performance Machined project. This project has been in the works for a while and is finally coming to fruition. While the blades are CNC ground outside of his shop and some other machining work is done by OEMs, Jonathan handles the lock and detent setting, final action tuning, and assembly in-house. This ensures a high-quality product with more hand-finishing than other mid-tech models, all made in the USA. The Performance Machined knives offer nearly all the features of a typical McNees custom at a lower price point. We're thrilled to be part of this project and bring these amazing, affordable knives to you.

The MAC2 Auto is an all-in-one EDC utility knife, work knife, survival knife, hunting knife, and tactical knife. Its clip point blade, with a nice belly for slicing, opens via dual thumb studs. The ergonomic aluminum handle fits comfortably without creating hotspots. The spring titanium clip provides excellent retention and stays out of the way when gripped hard. The MAC2 Auto's dimensions fall between the two manual variants, and Jonathan did an excellent job adapting this design to a push-button automatic. Just depress and watch the show.
