MT16910: 169-10 AUTO Stitch, Stonewash

Microtech Knives

This Automatic Stitch is a beautiful, tactical collaboration between Tony Marfione and Sebastijan Berenji, AKA Borka. It takes Sebastijan's awesome Stitch design and pairs it with Tony's awesome automatic opening mechanism to create one of the coolest production collaborations of 2017. The 3.625" spear point blade features a flat grind, apocalyptic finish, and jimping on the finger choil and thumb ramp for excellent purchase during finer cutting tasks. The handle is heavily milled aluminum with a black Mil-Spec Hardcoat anodized finish and jimped aluminum backspacer. It fires out like a rocket and locks up tightly, which considering that this is an AUTO is an impressive feat. This is the long-awaited production model of the famed custom, making it your chance to have a Borka knife at a fraction of the cost.

Pros: Ease of Opening, Handle Material, Blade Material, Overall Quality, Blade Sharpness
Cons: Weight, Pocket Clip
Beefy and great action
I collect knives and this knife has one of the most unusual blade shape of any of my knives. I am a particular fan of Microtech because I like the attention to detail and precision. The button on this knife is a good size so when you press it, Thwack! This thing opens with command. I haven't used it fishing but I think it would be a great blade shape to clean fish with, you can get your finger up in the finger choil and thumb on the top up the blade where there is some jimping and really get at it. This knife does have some weight to it, so if you are looking for light weight, this isn't the knife for you. It is extremely sharp out of the box! Microtech has better pocket clip designs, like with the nitride ball, the clip on this is okay and does hold well to the pocket, it's not coming out unless you really pull at it.

Extremely well made
I purchased a Microtech LUDT years ago and was not very impressed with the quality and craftsmanship. I later found out that is was a "knock-off" and not a real Microtech. I have tried to purchase Microtech knives since then but they are very hard to find and in great demand. I was finally able to purchase the Stitch and I must say that I am blown away! The attention to detail, the design, the build quality, etc. this knife is worth every penny and I am now a Microtech fanboy. Every time I pull this knife out of my pocket, I am awed by the design and the build quality of this knife. It also came, out of the box, as one of the sharpest knives I have ever owned. I like everything about this knife and wish they were more readily available so more people could experience what a true quality knife manufacturer that Microtech is.

Love the response. I work as a cannabis farmer and use it in the field.
