Pleasantly Surprised
I was apprehensive about this knife due to the previous review, unknown maker, and price point. This is in my opinion the golden age of pocket knives as there are a lot of great knives out there at attainable prices. This isn't what I'd consider an expensive blade, but you can get a lot for this price point. Right off of the bat, their presentation is great! It comes in a waterproof clear padded container inside of a box that also has some swag and a complete pin/screw replacement kit. The KickStop action is a little slow out of the box, but after playing with it for a few days it has started to speed up. Very positive lock, no play, and the blade is perfectly centered. Speaking of the blade, this thing is a looker and a performer. Very sharp, clean lines, and that san mai is a thing of beauty! The handle is grippy and semi oval and the pocket clip seems sufficient. The balance and ergonomics aren't perfect, but man is this a sweet looking knife. Its weighty, a little fat, and lacks a blade guard when deployed, but makes up for it in sheer presence. I'm anxious to try out some of North Mountain's other offerings!

Love this knife
Feels heavy in the hand and with that big blade, this is a great knife for heavy use. Snaps open like a $300 knife. Way higher quality than the price suggests. This is a lot of knife.

Interesting Knife
What I liked: Price for quality ratio is quite high. G10 milled scales look great. Machining of blade is very good. Action is good. What I didn't love: Liner locking mechanism doesn't match the overall design of the knife. VERY heavy. Pocket clip doesn't match the esthetic of the knife. Only way to open is with the flipper. Blade stock is too thick. This was a tough one. Many things about this knife were great. But the negatives pushed it into the category of knives I will never carry. Not really a collector grade knife, so I returned it.
