RoseCraft Blades

The RoseCraft Blades Pine River Peanut is a limited-edition traditional slip joint that embodies timeless design and modern performance. This single-bladed pocket knife is built around a versatile 2.1" clip point blade made from durable D2 tool steel, finished with a classic brushed satin. With its sturdy steel liners, brushed steel bolsters, and half-stop mechanism, the Pine River Peanut delivers a satisfying feel in a remarkably compact package.

What truly sets this knife apart are its unique Vintage Blue Bone handles. Intentionally dyed and distressed, they are designed to give the knife a cherished, worn-in look as if it has been a treasured companion for years. This authentic, nostalgic aesthetic is complemented by Rosecraft's signature "Rose Bomb" shield and the thoughtful pattern by designer Andy Armstrong. This fusion of classic craftsmanship and intentional aging makes each limited-edition knife a true collectible.

Measuring just 2.9" closed and weighing a mere 1.6 oz., the Pine River Peanut is the smallest knife pattern released by RoseCraft Blades to date, making it an ideal choice for discreet and comfortable everyday carry. Its small footprint, combined with a tough D2 steel blade, offers a functional and dependable tool that is both a practical companion and a unique piece of traditional cutlery.

Good, but...
This knife is beautifully designed and built, but the unreasonably strong tension on the back spring is excessive for a casual utility blade.

Better quality Slipjoint than Case
It kind of pains me to say, but Rosecraft absolutely builds a better knife than Case. Fit and finish is outstanding, the blade is actually sharp out of the box and the knife has a very solid half stop. The peanut is a very small knife, by design, but this one is just perfectly executed. There is no bill boarding on the blade on the Peanut, which I really appreciate, but I'm not sure if that's true of all of their models. I'll be looking for something about half again as large, but the brand is very highly recommended!
