Great ... with light modification
I bought this because I saw a few good reviews, liked the color and was jealous after playing with a friend's assisted opener.It's everything the other reviews have said ... except for easy to open. This thing was putting sore dents in my thumb and I almost dropped it more than once because of how hard my thumb or fingers would jerk once the blade started moving. Tried oiling it, loosening the pivot, playing with it until my thumbs were almost bleeding, leaving it partially opened for a few days to reduce the spring tension. Nothing worked, still stupidly hard to open.After some review diving on other sites I found one that suggested shaving down the detent well/hook on the blade itself that traps the detent bearing and keeps it closed. I started with a file and ended up using a dremel with a diamond grinding bit. After a few passes, testing frequently, it now opens smoothly without hurting my hand or losing control of the knife.Based on reviews, I don't think this is a problem with all of them, maybe it was just my bad luck. Either way, I'm glad I saved myself from a return with a pretty simple modification!
