SOG

At just over a quarter-inch thick (6.5 mm) and weighing only 1.2 ounces (34 grams), the SOG Ultra XR features slimline design and lightweight high-quality materials, including a Cryo-treated CPM-S35VN stainless steel blade and carbon fiber handle. Its XR Lock enables smooth ambidextrous single-handed opening and securely locks the blade open. The titanium pocket clip doubles as a money clip, providing everyday reliability in any situation. 

Updating the design of the Ultra C-Ti, the Ultra XR upgrades the function and feel of one of the lightest and most capable daily carry pocket knives for urban use. Cryo CPM-S35VN Stainless Steel

Tough and corrosion-resistant steel that is cryogenically heat-treated to SOG's unique performance specifications. The Titanium Nitride coated CPM-S35VN blade provides the ideal combination of sharpness and toughness of edge for heavy use with minimal maintenance.

Titanium Pocket/Money Clip

The slim, minimalist design provides a super-flat pocket profile with a pocket clip that doubles as a money clip.

XR Lock

SOG's XR Lock allows for smooth, controlled one-handed opening when intended with a thumb hole or by holding back the lock and flicking out the blade. Provides the ultimate built-in blade locking security when open, able to withstand 1500 pounds of force.

Lightest ever
Another review said this is SOGs answer to the Bugout but SOGs answer to the Bugout is the Altair Xl which is an amazing knife. It would be better than the Bugout if it had a super steel, but it's 154cm is decent. This Blade however is a great light weight option for light use.

not what i hoped for
I expected a better opening... as another reviewer stated, it was 'gritting'. not smooth at all. maybe it'll take a few hundred tries before getting to a usable tension. even at half of this cost, it would still be too much. i've bought many knives from knife center and the majority have been excellent, but this one won't stay in my collection long. sorry. want to be honest for future buyers.

Fake TiNi, Prous Steel, Poor Quality
Where to start. Well, value for the money. Even at half the price, the quality is still sub-par. Fake TiNi coating that flakes off (Real TiNi coatings become part of the steel). See photo comparison between REAL TiNi on my Monogram Trident and whatever this gold stuff is on this knife. Speaking of the steel, there are actual voids in the blade (also shown in photos) As in, missing steel altogether (known as porosity in the industry). Machining is horrid and something you would expect from a cheap hardware store bucket knife and came duller than a 2x4. XR lock is cocked (again, shown in the photos), favoring the side the spring is installed on, so the lock up is questionable at best. Very gritty upon opening and closing. Carbon Fiber scales poorly machined to the point the mounting hardware caused separation and blow out due to the holes in the CF being improperly sized (Yep, you guessed it...see the photos again!) Am I being overly critical? Not for the price and what I was under the impression I was purchasing. I expected WAY more from you SOG! This is the first time in many years and many purchases that I am actually ashamed of the product you've allowed to miss so many quality marks on. And to flat out deceive about the TiNi. The final grind. The porous steel (and that's only what's on the surface that i can see.) Sub-Par machining, fit and finish. Nothing hit the mark here. Lesson Learned. I've left an honest review, but let it be known that I come from a Machinist and Engineering background. I pay attention to the details and expect the details to be on par with the item. In this case, the two couldn't be farther apart.
