In the waning moments of an Artic sunset, a vivid purple haze is all that remains as the sky fades to black. Inspired by this mysterious spectacle, Benchmade crafted a unique EDC for the hardcore collector, the 2025 Gold Class 585BK-251 Mini Barrage. Designed with fast-deploying AXIS assist for boosted actuation, the 585BK-251 Mini Barrage features premium Purple Haze FatCarbon handle scales, Abyss PVD-coated hardware, and a black DLC BattleWash finished CPM-S90V stainless steel drop-point blade. As ephemeral as this natural phenomenon, the Gold Class 585BK-251 Mini Barrage is limited to 3,500 pieces and is only available in 2025.
AXIS Assist
Easily opened, quickly, and with one hand; this evolution of the AXIS includes a spring that helps to fire the blade into the open position once the user pushes it beyond a certain point manually. The AXIS lock also has the added benefit of "suck-back," which encourages the blade to stay in the closed position. AXIS Assist knives also feature integrated safety lock systems.

A very nice looking knife. Love the Purple Haze FatCarbon Handles. Feels great in hand and very easy to open out of the box. A great knife for the collection.

Shouldn't be gold class
The pocket clip has little rough spots on either side, I'm guessing where whatever machine holds it while it's being coated. For the price I'd expect a damasteel blade and for the finish to be perfect. Benchmade quality is going down the drain, don't believe me compare any of their balis to a Lucha or Revo Nexus at 1/3 the price
