I bought one of these on a whim to try it out and have not been disappointed. One of the best crossbar lock actions I've ever owned. Profile is slim and easy to carry and it does just about anything you could want it to do. I've been sceptical of SOG for many years lately, especially after they were purchased by a conglomerate, but they continue to surprise me. I read one review of this knife where the purchaser complained because the lack of branding on the blade the newer versions have. I honestly appreciate that. Coming from a guy who has used knives for CQB and other martial purposes in compromising areas of the world, the less flash the better. Remember the original MAC V SOG knife had no markings whatsoever to elude the enemy from knowing the original should anything unspeakable happen to the weilder. Remember MAC V SOG is where the company originally took their name, so it's nice to see them taking a step back in the branding of their knives.
