Widely known in the knife industry as the "Godfather of Knifemaking," the late Frank Centofante was highly respected for his elegant designs and painstaking craftsmanship. A former fireman and paramedic, he served 18 years as a member of the board of directors of the Knifemakers Guild, and nine of those as its president. Centofante's profound contributions to the knife industry were recognized with his induction into Blade Magazine's Cutlery Hall of Fame in 1997.

The revered Centofante 3 faithfully captures the spirit of Frank's exquisite custom designs and translates it into a practical everyday-carry cutting tool. This elite expression of it elevates the design even further with a saber-ground blade crafted from CPM-CruWear - an air-hardened tool steel specially formulated to offer both superior wear resistance and toughness. The CruWear used in this knife's blade is also enhanced by the Crucible Particle Metallurgy process, which ensures an ultra-fine, extremely homogeneous grain structure that maximizes the performance potential of the steel. 

Rather than the injection-molded FRN handle and two-position clip that are standard of the Centofante 3, this remarkable edition showcases smooth black carbon fiber scales and a four-position clip that is configurable for left or right-side, tip-up or tip-down carry.
