The Rhino-1 is a sturdy folding knife with an advanced back-lock system. Viper presents the Rhino-1 with an Uddeholm Elmax stainless steel blade with a fantastic double-grind shape and more modern handle materials such as Micarta, various carbon fibers, and woods.
Designed by Fabrizio Silvestrelli and produced by Viper, this imposing folding knife shares strength with the pachyderm from which it takes its name and is suitable for all heavy jobs. For reliable performance, the Rhino-1 is equipped with Viper's special lockback system which consists of two wire springs hidden in the scales. It is an ideal multifunctional tool and features a sturdy steel clip. For when you need a heavy-duty knife that will easily conquer the largest of tasks, look no further than the Viper Rhino-1.
ELMAX
This powder-metallurgy steel is both highly wear-resistant and rust-resistant, making it a great choice for premium folders and small to medium fixed blades.
Carbon Fiber Handles
Very strong and lightweight material. Provides an upscale and modern feel.
Pocket Clip
Includes a pocket clip for easy accessibility and a more secure carry.
Lockback
The lockback system has been used for many decades. It can usually be found on the knife spine and it provides a strong lockup that will wear well.
I got this knife about a month or so ago, and it's above and beyond in every way. Sharp as they come and Elmax steel so it is a lifetime knife unless you do something that a knife is not designed to do. I love Viper Knives as they use great materials and have very appealing lines, shapes, and the handles are designed for comfort. So using this knife all day for any type of work you need it for will not bother your hands at all. For the price it is worth every penny you pay for it. I am a retired military man who used knives for my whole time in service and this is one I anxiously waited for and it did not disappoint at all.
