Counter Puppies are an exciting concept in kitchen cutlery. Their injection-molded high impact plastic handles are shaped like the stylized body and legs of a puppy. This novel design allows them to stand upright on a counter or tabletop, keeping them clean and handy while creating a truly distinctive table setting presentation. Counter Puppy blades are crafted from corrosion-resistant 7Cr17 stainless steel and full-flat ground for outstanding edge geometry. They are available with a choice of a blue or purple handle and either a PlainEdge or fully serrated SpyderEdge cutting edge. Man's best friend just got even better.

Nice size
I have to disagree with a couple of you. The handle seems like just the right size for this blade. It’s a small paring knife, I don’t need the room of a chef’s knife. And while the “stand up” feature seems unnecessary to me... it turned out to be useful because I really like that little “hook” on the rear end. The handle is thicker than many and that thickness combined with the pinkie hook makes it handle well with wet hands. And for a small knife it’s quite a stiff blade.

Handle is too short
I have a number of Spyderco folding knives and love them but this one misses the mark for a number of reasons: I'm male and have average-sized hands and can only get three fingers on the handle - it clearly needs to be longer and without the hook at the end. Second, and this is a small thing but what odd colors. Why not pick something that is appealing? All in all, the knife is sharp enough but I wouldn't buy this knife again nor would I recommend it to any friends. Spyderco can do better.

Nice knife
Opted to upgrade my day-to-day use steak knives a bit and these fill the bill quite nicely. Still new, so haven't had an opportunity to sharpen them or discuss the results with you. They are well-crafted in a nice steel though and arrived very sharp. Wouldn't mind a bit more length in the handle, but they are workable for sure. Also the color is a bit odd. I can live with that, but thinking the purple model I've heard is coming is going to be equally strange and the lack of a black, dark brown, etc is puzzling.
