Description

SPK13SGN: K13SGN Z-Cut Blunt Tip Offset Kitchen Knife, Green

Spyderco

Like a traditional bread knife, Spyderco's Blunt-Tip Z-Cut combines cutting performance with the enhanced safety of a rounded tip. However, its Z-shaped profile provides knuckle clearance and superior leverage when used on a cutting board. Its nitrogen-enriched CTS-BD1N stainless steel blade is full-flat ground for optimal edge geometry and is available with either a plain-edged or fully serrated (this model) cutting edge. The serrated version features a uniform pattern of small serrations that increases the blade’s functional edge length by more than 24% for voracious cutting performance, especially on baked goods. The pebble-textured handles are injection molded from durable polypropylene directly onto the blade's tang and are available in black, green, red, and yellow.

Knife Center has an excellent selection of kitchen knives, kitchen accessories, cutlery, and kitchen gadgets.

My new steak knife
Spyderco has been making top-drawer knives forever and their folders are practically legendary. Lesser known for kitchen cutlery this inexpensive little knife might go unnoticed by some folks. This knife features a colorful handle and an innovative offset serrated blunt tipped blade that is super sharp. You can use it to put butter on your potato and it will slice up a steak with ease, or simply cut some bread for a sandwich. It can be used for all sorts of kitchen chores. You can spend hundreds of dollars on premium brand cutlery but this little gem works just as well for many food prep and eating tasks. The only drawback is that it looks like it would be a chore to sharpen but at this price, just buy another one if it gets too dull.
