You open it with the flipper, then move the easy access liner lock and it drops shut with ease. Simple, fast and efficient. I don't senselessly abuse my knives, so 12C27 steel choice is satisfactory to me. Some old school knifer's would call it a Sunday, go to meeting pocket knife. Not threatening in the least, even with it's incredibly fast action. Perfect for men and women for a classy carry knife with no jewelry. Personally, if I want jewelry, I'll buy jewelry. Not knives, looking like jewelry, just to jack up the price to unaffordability, for most.
