Genuinely Hard To Beat
I have three SRM knives, each one is seriously as good as you can get for the price. The action on all three is shockingly smooth. Each extremely light weight. Haven’t found a single thing wrong with any of them. Design, blade, sharpness, construction, quality control. I don’t work for SRM or anything, just hard to believe you can get 14c28 steel with that performance for that price. Can’t recommend enough. Knife center was fantastic as well, much better than some other knife dealers I’ve dealt with.

Underwhelming, feels super cheap, even for a "budget" knife
I bought this 255L-MG as a first foray into SRM knives as a potential EDC, but more for collecting, based upon a YouTube recommendation from one of the bazillion knife shows.

The action is light and smooth, I'll give it that. I do appreciate that the thumb studs are comfortable and not designed for building calluses. However the opening studs are quite close to the frame when closed, hard to tell if they are actually touching the frame.

The blade is off-center about a quarter of space from the midline. Doesn't affect function, but still. Not going to bother trying to straighten it.

The weight is so light that it feels flimsy and the micarta is so smoothed down on the show side, that it is on the verge of slippery. I for one am a bit tired of the trend to make everything super light. I want to know that I am holding a knife!

The novel pocket clip has lateral movement and feel like it will pop out on its own were I ever to carry it.

I also bought a 255L-GE2 (black/blue G10) in the same order, an the fit and finish on it is better and feels a bit more substantial, although the pocket clip has the same wiggle to it.

Maybe you can beat the Benchmade Bugout
Wow. This knife is really nice. As soon as I took itmout of the box I had to grab a bugout and compare. I have no idea how the 140Cr blade is going to perform, but other than that this is a really strong competitor. It's not a clone at all, but in size, shape and feel it's impossible to miss the similarity. Just amazing at this price!
