Tactile Turn Copper Bolt Action Pen, Short, 5.1" Overall - 10-BA2-COP-TTM
Description
TCTBAPSHTCU: Copper Bolt Action Pen - Short
Tactile Turn
The main piece that makes these pens interesting is the unique bolt action. It's one fluid motion to advance or retract and, because the surfaces of both the interior part and the inside surface have been carefully machined to be extra smooth, the action feels amazingly satisfying.
Write like you mean it.
The unique bolt action shape allows for one fluid motion to advance or retract the refill. Because the surfaces of both the interior part and the inside surface have been carefully machined to be extra smooth, the action feels amazingly satisfying. If there's one pen that Tactile Turn recommends to new customers, it's this one.
Ages like a fine wine.
Because Tactile Turn doesn't coat any of their pens, this material will patina and darken with time and use. Patina is a thin tarnish layer that forms on certain surfaces through oxidation or other chemical processes. It acts as a protective covering and also provides one of the coolest aspects of copper – it improves over time.
Different strokes for different folks.
Choose from 2 different lengths – standard and short. Both pen sizes fit well in almost all hands although, if you wear big gloves, you might be more comfortable with the standard, 5.6" model which comes with a 0.7 mm Pilot G2 ink refill. The short, 5.1" model comes with a Schmidt Easy Flow 9000 refill and tends to fit better in shirt pockets without sticking out.
Quality you can feel.
Tactile Turn pens are known for their CNC precision-machined texture. It's where their name comes from. The tactile feeling allows you to control the pen exactly the way you want. It won't bite into your skin but provides just the right amount of grip. It's subtle, but the textured surface disguises and protects the pens from light scratches much better than a smooth surface.
Tactile Turn was one of the first fully machined pen manufacturers. They don't do injection molded parts like most other pens. They make parts one by one on their computer numerically controlled lathes in their own shop in Texas to turn raw materials into finished goods. People buy Tactile Turn pens because they want an item with a simple and elegant design made from amazing materials that will withstand daily use for life.
