We feel that the two most important factors regarding the tool/gear is #1--Effective and #2--As light and strong as possible for the given task. These are the primary factors we considered in the design of this tool. Equally adept in urban settings or in the wild, this is definitely an "ounce-counter's" dream. In addition, the ability to quickly spot your knife on the ground or in the bush is a definite positive when selecting one of the neon handle options.

TOPS Lite Trekker is the culmination of several months of designing and refining. At the recent Blade Show, Joe (Shangoman) Flowers; his wife, Ashley; and Leo (the Lion) Espinoza, put their heads together on a new joint collaboration to design a light, durable, and functional tool. We have already seen their combined field time and design experience come through on some winning models. The best recent example is the Machete .230... An excellent field tool with a great performance record.

After numerous revisions, the TOPS Lite Trekker has several, well-thought-out features such as a positive grip with optional colored (traction and high-visibility squares) set into the handle design. When selecting one of the neon versions, the textured handle includes a neon cord matching the choice of colored squares.

The blade grind is flat ground to the top edge of the blade for the sharpest and lightest combination in its size class. 

This tool comes with a ferro-rod fire starter and 126 DB emergency whistle. Wherever your travels take you or what surprises come your way, you can feel comfortable with the capabilities of the TOPS Lite Trekker.
