Tuff Writer SPECIAL MISSION PENS are limited variations and designs that exist beyond the normal TUFF Pen core design concepts and catalog models. 

This Copper SMP belongs in a museum! We're not sure if these relics were found in a long-forgotten temple deep in an unexplored jungle, or at the bottom of the ocean recovered from a lost wreck. We do know that each one is completely stunning and is painstakingly hand-finished.

The full copper tip and body have been given a hand-finished green patina, with weathered details for a 'been there, done that' look. To keep it looking this way, the entire pen has been given a gloss clear coat finish to help preserve the patina (kind of bas-ackwards, but you get it!). It doesn't stop there, though. The steel mechanism and pocket clip have a heat-scale finish, each hand flamed, oxidized, and totally unique. Every aspect of these pens is hand-finished (we even do final shaping and profiling of the body and tip by hand on these), resulting in truly one-of-a-kind pens.

The Analog Pen (formerly the Retro Click) is all classic, subdued styling that will catch eyes but not raise eyebrows. Perfect for an 'under the radar' carry option. Don't let the "less aggressive" styling fool you, though; the Retro Click is just as capable as our other pens. Quite possibly the perfect take anywhere, write everywhere, and always work pen.

The core utilizes an all-metal body machined out of solid copper. If you like a substantial pen, look absolutely no further. The tip is made of the same material, giving a consistent balance along the length of the pen. The sleek, mid-sized design is lower profile than some of our other models, for a classic look.

Each Analog Pen features the EXAKTFIT adjustable ink cartridge spacer. This lets you dial in how much of the ink cartridge tip extends out of the pen tip (and lets you overcome some ink maker's lack of manufacturing tolerances). 

Keeping the Pen in place is the TUFF Clip, cold-pressed and heat-treated spring steel. The TUFF Clip profile makes for easy and fast one-handed clipping, strong retention, and a low-profile, classy look.

The Analog Pen has no external O-rings for a smooth and classic look. It feels great in the hand and writes like a dream.

This Special Mission Pen keeps the "sterile" standard with no logos or identifying marks.

The Press Mech: These Pens feature our famous 416SS machined "Press" advancing mechanism. The two-piece bearing-cam design makes for a for silky smooth operation (so smooth, it doesn’t even "click"). Works like a normal click pen, but is built to last a lifetime of real-world use and abuse.

Ideal Users: The Analog Pen is designed for anyone who needs a robust yet classy design, perfect for travel and office use. It excels as an EDC Pen, and the mid-sized design is comfortable no matter if you have baby mitts or yeti paws. Don't let its more subdued styling fool you, though, the Analog is just as capable as any of our other pens to keep trucking when the going gets hard. It will keep up with any professional and be an essential partner.
