Complete toolkit for working on PCs and electronics
This knife has been out for years, and is a proven well-performer. Aside from surprisingly good pliers that include a wire crimper, it has the full complement of screwdriver tips commonly used in personal computers, servers, and electronics. The screwdriver shaft has good reach and is in the center of the knife, so it is handles much like a real screwdriver. You can -- and I have -- taken apart and fixed PCs using just this multitool. Although it was designed for electronics technicians, it has lots of the best tools that Victorinox offers: a main blade, second small blade, scissors, large screwdriver/wire tool/cap lifter, small flathead screwdriver/can opener, awl, corkscrew, eyeglass screwdriver, multihook, toothpick, tweezers, pen, and even a little pin. The pliers are small but mighty... the perfect size for pulling off and replacing jumpers on printed circuit boards, but they close well and can be used for tasks bigger than you might think. Although I have other SAKs, this is the one I use at my desk everyday and take when I travel for work (blades don't lock so more travel-friendly). It can do so much, from opening a bottle of wine to cutting off a loose thread to fixing a zipper to installing a dimmer switch to adding a phone extension to removing staples from thick documents. People don't freak out when they see the red handle. Only negative is I wish it was a little lighter, bit heavy for pocket carry in dress pants so I carry it in my briefcase. However, lighter than my SwissTool or other standard -size multitools.
