WTGGRZK32GT01: Grizzly Fixed Blade, Black G10

Work Tuff Gear

Work Tuff Gear have made a name for themselves with their big fixed blades, filled with attitude and built to a higher standard than the competition. The Grizzly is the perfect example, and it is an instant confidence boost when you heft it.

The Grizzly knife is a proud sibling of the Kodiak knife, but it has a few distinct features that set it apart. It incorporates a finger choil, and a small groove near the blade's base, allowing for greater control and precision during fine tasks.

With a blade length of nearly 10 inches, the Grizzly is designed to be a versatile tool capable of handling large and smaller tasks. Its size makes it suitable for chopping and batoning, which are everyday outdoor activities that require cutting through wood or splitting logs. Moreover, the Grizzly's sharp 90-degree spine is ideal for striking a ferro rod, a popular method for starting fires outdoors. This feature, combined with its ability to prepare feather sticks (thin shavings of wood used as tinder), makes the Grizzly well-suited for fire-starting purposes.

The knife's handle is made of ergonomic G10 which provides a comfortable grip for chopping activities. Additionally, the handle can be used in a forward position to shift the knife's balance point, resulting in a more neutral and versatile handling experience.

Considering its features and capabilities, the Grizzly would be an excellent choice as a one-tool option for outdoor adventures. It can handle various tasks, ranging from trail clearing to winter camping, making it a reliable companion in diverse outdoor scenarios.

Great Knife!!
I bought this knife to carry instead of a hatchet. Originally I wanted the Mountain Lion, trying to keep weight down in my backpack. I purchased the Grizzly instead because I couldn’t find a Mountain Lion and patience is not a virtue I posses. It was the right decision. It has great balance for a large knife. It has performed exceptionally well for every task I’ve used it on. Work Tuff Gear makes great knives and they don’t forget the sheath when it comes to quality either. I highly recommend this knife and look to more purchases from Work Tuff
