Nice Knifr

Fit and finish are excellent. USA made is very nice. Would have given a solid 5 stars but the sheath needs attention. Ballistic nylon and Velcro are so easily worn out. Kydex or good leather would be much better.

Can't recommend

I enjoy the look, design and price of this small Bowie, but the finish quality leaves a lot to be desired. I'm not sure if I got a repaired knife that was sold as new, or if their quality and QA is normally this bad, but I can't recommend this knife. This is my only Bear Op.s. knife, so maybe this is an outlier, but I won't be buying more to find out. The guard, scales and butt cap all have a strange oxidized haze on them. The jimpping in the handle is very poorly aligned between the scales and tang ( double machined maybe). And the sharpened edge of the blade has splatter of black finish along its length; which is what makes me think I might have gotten a repaired knife... Overall nice design but poor quality and execution.
