Best option under $30

I've had 2 of these over the course of about 4 years not because they're bad but because I like them so much. It uses sturdy rivet pins to secure the handles to the blade which allows for extended use without having to worry about the entire thing falling apart and flying into your face while in operation. the other issue knives around this price point have is that the handles will form weak points and break in half which I have found no sign of yet.

It’s OK

I’m a daily knife user and taxidermist by trade. I have several knives, but this is my first balisong. I wanted a lower middle grade knife to start and play with before I drop hundreds on one. The knife seems very solid and strong. The blade comes nice and sharp, but I can tell it’ll dull quickly. The textured coating feels nice and adds grip, but I dropped the knife once and it has 2 little chips already. The 2 big issues I have is it is very stiff and doesn’t swing freely. I’m assuming I’ll be able to work it awhile and that’ll loosen, but disappointing that I can’t practice properly yet because it’s not “broken in” yet. The 2nd issue is the back edge of the blade. It’s a raw edge stamped out of metal edge. They didn’t buff it down or nothing, so the back of the blade has 2 sharp edges that in my opinion shouldn’t be on the back of any balisong blade! I sanded the raw edges down and it’s ok now. So now that it’s sanded, as long as it does in fact loosen up with use and it doesn’t totally get all chipped up, it’ll be a decent knife.
