Pros: Handle Material, Overall Quality, Finish, Blade Sharpness
Cons: Sheath/Scabbard
The knife is great, the sheath though...
The knife is easy to wield and fits comfortably in my smaller sized hands and I really appreciate it's minimalist design. After taping the well sharpened edge, I took it to my go to edged weapon specialist to see how to adapt my knowledge of the traditional karambit to a reverse style, which actually was fairly intuitive. HOWEVER The sheath is garbage. The retention detents in the Kydex are the only things making contact with the knife so are incredibly tight. Think, pinching a spoon handle between your thumb and index finger and your palm just covering the spoon. Because of this, drawing the knife is a 2 handed process. Forget the chintzy strap, there is no way to secure the sheath firmly enough to draw one handed. Only the ring can be grasped and the force required to pull the knife makes it impractical at best to carry behind the back. Eventually the Kydex will wear away enough (as evidenced by the black smudges on the knife after every draw) that it will come out with less effort. I tried heating the Kydex a little but because of the way the sheath is designed there is no happy medium. In summary, knife good, find someone to make a better sheath for you
