I Cannot Rate This Knife Too Highly!

This would be rated a 10 if I could go that high! 1st, it's a beauty! The Damascas blade and Cocobolo scales compliment each other aesthetically in a way that I had not anticipated. When I opened the zippered pouch and removed the knife I was struck by shock and awe! The shape and lines of this knife are the definition of classic knifeness! Then I reached up and lightswitched the flipper, and immediately referred back to the posting for the knife to find the spec that should have told me that this was an assisted knife...guess what? No assist! This manual opener just opens like one! And the liner lock release is impecably located and functions without any detent resistance that tends to cause blades to bite! And centering is right-on! Though I don't know what the composition of the Damascas is, I really don't care. It's Gorgeous! I'm an old fart and don't hard-use my EDC knives anymore. With a collection of over two hundred knives I own many knives much better suited for hard-use. This beauty is my 'Budget Grail', and will rotate only on special occasions! ( perhaps with one of my USMC Ka-Bars or my Buck 100 series Pros as back-ups! ) Now excuse me: I think I just saw another Brad Zinker Damascas Urban Trapper that deserves a closer look...!

Awesome slim knife!

Beautiful Damascus blade and cocobolo wood handle! Knife is even better than I had expected! The knife is feather light and perfectly slim so it doesn't get in the way when getting things from your pockets. This thing is also a certified scalpel!

Even better than expected!

I had been looking for an elegant flipper I could carry to the office and decided on this one. The overall lines and weight of the knife are even better than I expected from having only looked at the knife online. I love the feel in my hand and the action is very nice. Before ordering this version, I went back and forth looking at more modern designs and handles of the Urban Trapper. I was very tempted to order the Knife Center exclusive version. In the end, I am very glad to have this one. The combination of the cocobolo wood on the handle with the Damascus blade makes for a high end look that is perfect for my needs. At this point, I could not be happier with my purchase. If this knife holds up well over time and with normal use I am sure this will be one of my absolute favorites!

Wonderful sleek gentleman's knife

Very slick classy and compact flipper with a very useful clip point blade. If you expect this to be a 'hard use' type knife you will be disappointed, but if you want something eminently stylish to open packages, cut up lunch, fidget with at your desk, etc, it's perfect. Build quality is very nice, action is smooth. It was my first flipper so it took me a little getting used to, but it's smooth and reliable. The finish of the Damascus steel is a little bit lighter/shinier than these photos suggest. It has a really nice look to it overall. Very sharp out of the box. Reasons I knock off 1 star: -The flipper tab has a little bit of an edge/texture to it, and the amount of force it requires to open, I felt like I had to develop a slight callous on my finger tip in that spot before I could use it comfortably. It's also a very compact handle so there is not as much to hold onto as you are activating the flipper action. Once I got used to it it's smooth and easy to do, but it took some practice -Pocket clip is very tight, this means it is very secure in your pocket but also slightly more annoying to put back in your pocket. (But it's nice to feel assured that your fancy knife will not fall out of your pocket when you sit down.) Overall I would actually say 4.5 stars, but I can't do .5 stars here. Solid purchase, great choice for city dwellers who want a nice stylish EDC that will not scare away your non knife person friends.
