Amazing quality from a truly iconic USA brand

I love this knife, Its heavy and tough just like they used to make them. The auto update really brings this Buck 112 knife into its own. I have far more expensive and lighter knives but for some reason, this is the knife I carry every day. Just feels great to sit and play with this in your hands. I love it.

Buck 110 Auto Folding Hunter

The Buck 110 Auto Folding Hunter has strong quick opening. The weapon has good balance, stable when deployed. The release button has the right amount of resistance, good for concealment in pocket. It is a very eye catching object. The brass finish is flawless and great looking wood handles. I will definitely be caring this weapon with me for a back up.

Gorgeous knife and great customer support

I bought the 110 auto for working around the house, a knife is always handy but one that opens at the push of a button just makes it very easy to use. When the knife arrived it was not opening and locking reliably, I emailed KnifeCenter and received a return authorization almost immediately and the replacement was delivered 2 days after they received the return. KnifeCenter just earned a customer for life!

I use this knife all day long in my job. I love it even more than my regular 110 that it replaced. The one hand opening is perfect for me. Buck does it again!

I LOVE THIS KNIFE!

I love this knife. So cool to press a button. Sheath is great. It is absolutely beautiful too. I whip it out here and there and everyone takes a look. But I use this regularly too. Great product. I have a lot of knifes including vintage Bucks and vintage Schrades and vintage Camillus but this may just be my favorite. I hope you enjoy it as well. Thanks Buck.

Buck 110 auto 110S30v Ranger S30v

I own collect and use daily a folding Auto or OTF knife of all kinds. I have best quality knives from USA Germany Russia mainly. Automatic knives are sometimes troublesome new and I have found that rather than playing with them or modifying them when they are stiff and new, I just flush and blow them out oil them and put them into service like any green trainee. After basic, 95% of them are well enough for service. When I found my first 110.Auto in Eddyville I was ecstatic. It was a.nice slow swing open at first but always opened fully. It picked up speed in a few weeks but not so much as to wreck itself like some autos do.It has real ebony wood scales and easy to get along with steel. It unlocks easily and the button is tastefully beautiful and located perfectly. The fit and finish is much better than any Solingen Puma Gamewarden that I own. This knife was done perfectly in the 60,s ,and the Switch feature was done perfectly today.I would hate to change anything on this knife.I would love to have one with a drop point blade and India Stag handle if it is ever available from.the custom shop.

Push the Button!

The classic Buck 110 Folding Hunter has evolved into what it was always meant to be. This solidly built icon of the knife world no comes as an automatic while keeping all of the qualities of the original. To say this is my new favorite knife would be an understatement. For all of us who have owned the original 110, this push button wood and brass beauty is like a dream come true.

Buck Excellence

Typical Buck craftsmanship. Action gets smoother with every cleaning and oiling. Dropped the first one I purchased from high on an extremely hard surface, causing some problems with the action. Mailed knife to Buck with offer to pay for repairs-due to my own clumsiness. Buck immediately sent replacement-at no charge. I am extremely active at my work and rough on my gear and never has this knife failed me. Even when carried in a cross-draw leather sheath in front-this knife has never accidentally opened. Impressive given the rough situations I find myself in. My advice: Clean and oil knife regularly and the action will continue to improve each time-with no malfunctions. Some have complained about the rate of opening. I actually think it is perfectly dialed in by the Buck pros. By the way-came razor sharp and remains so with very little touch-up. 10 out of 10 for sure.

WOW

Carried a Buck when I was younger. Always wanted another one. In 2017 I ordered a reg Buck folding knife. A few months ago I saw a young girl inspector had a Buck on her belt. I made a comment about it and she pulled it out and showed it to me and it was an AUTOMATIC. Blew my mind, I had no idea that Buck made an automatic. I immediately went to my truck and ordered one on my phone. The Buck website was sold out so I typed in the description of the knife and it brought me here and they had it in stock. Game changer. One hand opening, BEST knife I've ever owned. Thanks KnifeCenter,... Thanks Buck.

It's a Damn Good Knife, Built to Last

The smoothest side opening auto knife you will ever use. I have used a few different types of the aftermarket automatic Buck knives and they shared one thing in common, a strong swing and kick. This factory model has even less kick than most of the smaller side opener brands I've tried. I do wish the button was nicer looking and that there was an option for a tactical fabric sheath but you can't have everything.

First Buck 110 Auto

Like the 112 Buck Ranger Elite Auto I purchased a few weeks ago ( 1July 2022 in Virginia!) This Automatic version of the legendary 110 knife is beautifully finished in every way. Mine deployed to open&locked with confident authority, the very first time out of it’s custom draw string bag,and three dozen times, afterwards! I really appreciate the unique magnetic closure gift box these higher end Bucks ship in. The really neat thing about these knives is that they can be carried, unconcealed on a belt(where legal) and is so ubiquitous,no one will even give a second look. Nice!

Buck Knife #110

I got this knife for every day use and especially during hunting season, it has exceeded my expectations ... The edge maintained it sharpness, with very little touch up needed for sharpness during a complete cleaning deer, from beginning to finish ... Also, every day usage doing odd jobs on the farm I would highly recommend this knife for all hunters, from novice to an experienced hunter ...

Buck 110 Auto

I use the knife as a daily carry and incoperate it into my work day the blade sharpness is incredable just a little concerned about the tip because of its extream tappered point... worried about breakage. I like the weight of the knife and smooth finish The only "con" that i have is the Sheath ...The leather is very ridged and dose not form well to your waist i was not at all suprized when i received the knife because i did alot of research before purchase.

Classic now automatic

Bought this for everyday use and forgot how heavy the 110 is. It's been sold with a sheath for 40 years or more and used by carpet layers, fishermen, construction workers and soldiers. They are hard to sharpen, strong as can be and now they are automatic. It works with a snick and deploys the blade better than most big knives. Flawlessly polished, locks up like Fort Knox. The perfect belt wear folder, now one handed.

The Choice Is Automatic!

I use my 110 auto for all purposes surrounding work and hunting and fishing outside. It actually cleans fish pretty well. It is, like the stock 110 a little heavy. But it locks up like a bank vault and is everything it ought to be. During the Viet Nam war a lot of us soldiers carried these for all purpose work. Puma had a competitor that was a good knife, too. But if this one had been automatic, well the choice would've been automatic.

Best Deer Hunting Knife

I bought my first one when I was 13. It was only $30 dollars then. I have since lost my original 110 and purchased another. These knifes last forever. There made of excellent materials. The blade always keeps and edge when sharpened. I've used my 110 to field dress many, many Whitetail deer. I easily split the chest cavity of the deer and belly. This is an outstanding hunting knife.

Proud owner Buck 110 Automatic

I purchased the original Buck folding knife many years ago, in the ’60s. That knife disappeared in the early ’70s. Having thoughts of replacing each time I saw one on the internet. In the late ’80s I got into automatic knives and have had a few over the years. One in particular I took almost everywhere, kept it very sharp and had many uses for it especially when eating steak. Well, the other day I misplaced it or left it at a restaurant somewhere. So now I purchased the automatic 110. OMG!!! I now have the best knife a person can own. I love the weight and the overall quality. It has a edge on it from Buck that will be hard to duplicate. Don't let anyone fool you about how other knives compare. There is nothing better than this knife for it's all around use. You know this knife is in your pocket and it's ready to go to work.

Outstanding build quality. Very hefty. Blade snaps out with authority and locks tight. My $250 Benchmade automatic can't hold a candle to this 110 Auto. Sadly, the sheath is not to my liking. I've already ordered a horizontal leather sheath to take its place.

Means business

Deploys quick like it should, and its weight and the length of the blade are compelling features. The button release's ease of use is great. The lock is on the handle's heel, which isn't that easy, but is fine in every other respect. I consider it a pro, not a con, but not all would. I use it instead of my other knives as backup for my walks on the hills abutting my home, where there are mountain lions and coyotes who might might but probably never will bother my dog even though he is always leashed. It feels traditional and trustworthy if needed. I don't consider it an everyday carry knife because some might find it imposing, say with a bunch of women at the dog park.

Extremely Pleased!

I have wanted a Buck 110 since I was a kid. When I saw Buck had made an inhouse automatic I knew it was time to do it. This knife is everything I remember about the lockblade version from years ago with a very nice auto update. The blade deployment is crisp and so far reliable. It is sharp right out of the box, no need to even touch the blade up. I love the weight and quality of the build. This is a knife which will last and maybe get passed down. Great knife!

Very high quality large auto

This auto has all the quality of a factory Buck because it IS a factory Buck. No need to worry about warranty violations anymore. It is not the fastest or strongest opening auto but is more than adequate to get the job done and lockup is as you expect from Buck - which is to say very good. My only objection to this fine auto 110 is that is' a 110 - and therefore the size is a bit large for EDC (in my opinion) . I'm waiting patiently for auto versions of some of the smaller bucks which seem to exist but not be available. My personal recommendation would be the "55" - but nothing bigger than the "112".

"BUCK FOLDING HUNTER AUTO"

This is with-out a doubt one of the finest tools I have ever owned... Its specs and tolerance are un-canny.... I love this knife with passion and I am getting one in black as I have an old one in CHERRY WOOD red.... Real everything, this will live on for many people to enjoy it for many years... That's what a CLASSIC is....

A great classic

I’ve never owned a 110 so when Auto’s become legal in Mass I had to have it. Less expensive than ZT and other automatics and built for heavy duty use. I like Buck’s forever warranty if anything happens to it, it will be covered. The ebony scales are beautiful and tough. I have antique knives and the ones with ebony scales are still in great shape. Some reviews say the blade is lazy or slow opening. How fast do you need a blade to open? There is a lot of mass to move and it deploys just fine. My only gripe is with the sheath. I was at the Buck website and they make a brown sheath for the 110 that is made in the USA. I will probably buy that sheath at $23.00 as it seems worthy of this fine knife.

Buck Sharp

I bought this knife to compliment my collection and it is a gorgeous and ingenious design. The action is quick and solid and the lock-up is tight. It is a Buck. It matches my 1975 110 perfectly. The sheath is prominently bolstered under the snap for what I assume is protection against accidentally firing the blade.

Really a 5 star, but giving it 4 because of one minor issue ...

I have always loved these knives ever since my dad gave me one for 40 years ago. An old 110, that I was probably too young to be responsible with, still I still have the scar. Still love you dad. You did nothing wrong! ;-) RIP. I always kept the one my dad gave me, and still have it. Ground down tip from when I broke it. Still works fine and still has a home in my fishing tackle box. I knew people were modding them as autos and when I found out Buck introduced a factory auto I bought two from Knifecenter a year ago. One for me, and one for my 15 year old son. Beautiful knives, razor sharp. Handles are ebony wood, so nice! Only problem was, the speed of deployment. Mine was so slow it would only open if pointed down, otherwise it would stall. My son's was ok, but still very slow. This is why I docked it 1 point to a 4/5. Just one point because ... It's not a real issue with the knife itself. I was really pissed off at first and then I thought "maybe it just needs a good cleaning" ... Took each knife - - Scrubbed out action with hot soapy water with a toothbrush - Rinsed and blew it dry with compressed air - Hosed it out again with WD-40 - Blew it out again with compressed air - Wiped and put a small drop of machine oil in the action Man! These things run great now! Both give a nice solid snap. Very fast and reliable. Hey Buck! Clean your damn knives before you ship em!!

Work, Play or Everyday carry you will not be disappointed!

First of all I have to to blame the morons that ship this knife (which does not have a safety) in a stupid cloth pouch on top of the leather pouch it comes with for the 4 star review. When I was unboxing the product I find out the hard way that it had opened during shipping when it stabs me in the hand through the cloth pouch. Why this automatic open knife is shipped outside of the protective leather sheath it comes with I have no idea. The fact that the seller and or the manufacturer do not list the dangers of unpackaging this product and provide a warning label that the knife may open during shipping is beyond me. I guess that will be between them and my legal counsel. As for the knife, it is amazing. Well built just like many of the other BUCK knives I have owned before. I really enjoy the automatic feature this knife has, making it a truly 1 hand usable knife when in the field. I look forward to many many years of torturing this knife as my work horse from now on. Time will tell how long the automatic feature will last. It is extremely crisp with a quick snap upon pressing the side actuating button (again, I warn there is no safety on this knife). I really enjoy the time tested lock back after it is open. I really love this knife on every level. from it's weight, feel, 1 hand opening, lock type and overall quality. I would not hesitate to purchase this for my friends or loved ones. In fact this is going to be one of the best things I could ever hand down to my son. Thank you for your time and good luck to you! Very respectfully, Dug E Phresh

Its a Buck

This 110 auto is a very nice knife if you like the 110 style. It has all the same good/bad qualities as the original with the addition of opening one handed, which in my book can be very beneficial when working etc. I do not see this as an EDC knife or a defensive knife or tactical knife. I see this knife as a working knife for when you need to get things done and sometimes opening with one hand is helpful. The knife is heavy for EDC carry unless you work in the field (literally) on a farm or ranch etc. Carrying one around in the sheath is not happening for most people. That is very old school and useful for outdoors use or field work, but not EDC..I think they"re a classic that all knife lovers should own.

Not a Perfect Buck

Buck does have quality control issues and their warranty department isn't helpful. The knife I received wasn't deploying from day one. I had to work and flush the blade with oil several times before it would consistently open. The finish on the 110 auto had issues too: both the lock back and butt of the blade had rough edges. On the plus side: sharp out of the box, solid build (like a tank), an american classic. Knowing these issues, I will never buy a Buck knife again.

“Auto”

Comes out slow and doesn’t open all the way. Had to work the gears/blade back and forth for about ten minutes for the “auto” to finally work on its own. Great looking knife and it sounds like all the others work great but I had to work on this one a bit.

Buck 110 auto

I really like Buck 110's and wanted this knife. After opening this knife I was very pleased with the fit and finish but I very disappointed with the action. I was very lazy to be kind,I expected better.I should return it but it was my mistake to think it would be the quality I expected, so suck it up and eat it. I will never buy another auto with out being able to try it out.

Buck has lost something

I've owned a buck 110 for many years and thought the 110 auto would be awesome. Not so much, I've sent it back because the blade had wobble and the blade was touching one side. It took six weeks to get the knife back from buck. The knife they sent me doesnt even fully deploy. Horrible quality control. Now I have to send it back and wait another six weeks. I will never purchase a buck knife again. Zero poistives.

DONT BUY!!!!

I take back everything I said before, the blade it won’t pop out fully, only about half way. I thought I fixed it and it worked fine until it went back to not flipping open. The blade is sharp but other than that DO NOT BUY, a complete wast of money. 200 dollars right down the drain.
