I wasn't expecting it to be so strong. I have a plastic 112 from the 90's and the blade wiggles side to side a good bit because the plastic isn't nearly as strong. This one is substantially stiffer and strong. It won't be as strong and tight as the metal ones, obviously, but I'm surprised that there is so little side to side play. Grip and feel is excellent, it's light, and price is very low (on sale $23.95 as I write this). I have several 112 Slim Pro knives and this one is barely thicker and otherwise pretty much the same. Of course lesser materials but for the $, as far as function goes, this thing is awesome. Some people online complain about the pocket clip, and I had reservations too, but after using it I prefer it. It makes pulling the knife out so much easier because the width and punch outs give your finger something to grip. In hand my pinkie fits in it perfectly and comfortable like that was it's job. It's also rather cool looking with the anvil. Some also complain about the nubs where the blade and spine meet. This is how they are before grinding, but this isn't a grind to fit knife so they're intact. Not a big deal at all imo, and I'm finicky so that's sayin something, but if they really bother you then grind 'em off ;) I'd imagine there are lots of people like me who love nicer knives, like my 112 Slim Pro's, but try to avoid subjecting a nice expensive knife to abuse and risk a scratched handle or chip in the blade etc. If that's you, this is the knife you abuse, which is why I bought it ;) Plus I was curious about the quality, which exceeded my expectations. Or if you simply want a nice thin light weight 112 but don't want to pay $80+, this is it. I plan on buying another of these, maybe even two more. One in the center console of my car, maybe one in my jacket so no matter what one is handy :)
