Pros: Blade Material, Blade Sharpness, Lock Ease of Use, Pocket Clip, Weight
Cons: Ease of Opening, Handle Feel, Handle Material, Lock Type, Overall Quality
I was left underwhelmed
I just received this knife and am left a little underwhelmed. The blade is gorgeous, and the drop point is lovely and sleek. The action is smooth and snappy, but that's where the good stuff ends and the "meh" stuff starts. The micarta handles feel cheap in my hands, and the liner lock seems a touch on the flimsy side. Most importantly, though, the front flipper design is terrible. I wanted to try it, and I've given it a fair go after receiving the knife. It's just clumsy and awkward. Using the thumb studs is actually worse. Because the action is so snappy, I've lost my purchase on the studs many times, and that leaves my thumb much too close to the blade. I've come close to cutting myself a few times! I probably have a couple hundred folders in my collection, and I'm used to all types of actions. This one is definitely my least favorite.
