My #1 EDC

I dont know what more can be said about the Elementum; it's just a great budget friendly every day carry. I've had this version for about 3 months now, and I was a little afraid that the wood handles would get scratched by my keys and other stuff in my pocket, but they have held up pretty well. I love it, and there's nothing about it that I don't like. Well done, Civivi. And thank you, Knife Center!

The Guibourtia Wood!

I've never been a fan of black colored blades on knives before but completely changed my mind! This Elementum just looks amazing w/ the Guibourtia wood and black stonewashed blade. It looks even better in person than the website. I'm going to make sure to keep the wood oiled every now and then to really keep the grain showing over the years and I look forward to using this for a long time! The D2 steel is a pretty standard mid-range steel and came very sharp from the factory. Blade centering was dead on out of the box and the only thing mine needed was a drop or two of HP100 knife oil to get it to flip a bit more consistently. Liner lock once engaged does feel tight and a closer inspection shows almost all of the liner does support the blade when locked. There's not much of the liner sticking out to hold to unlock the knife but they did add some jimping which helps a bit. There is a lanyard hole which I won't use but it's there in case you need it. The knife is very light in the pocket and besides the flipper nub sticking out it makes for an easy to carry pocket knife and did I mention how great it looks? I can't knock a point for the drop of oil to get more consistent flipping or for the small amount of liner to unlock it as they are minor nitpicks to an overall great knife.

Beautiful EDC Knife

This knife is very well crafted and both feels and looks beautiful. The lines are clean and I appreciate the small attention to detail including the jimping on the blade and liner lock. With the wood handles and black stonewash, this knife borderlines as a gentlemen's carry in my opinion.

Great knife

Just got this to replace a Kershaw I've been EDC'ing for a few years now. For a small knife it has good feel and action. Interesting grain on the scales which is admittedly luck of the draw. Blade centering and lock lineup are excellent. Zero blade play. Overall I'm very impressed especially at the price point.

My first Civivi

This is also my first good knife. I love the looks of the Guibourtia wood and the blacked out blade. This one is a better knife for dressing up because the handles are so slick “slippery” in the hand, so I’m going to buy another one with different handles for EDC. I love the size of the knife and it fits nicely in my hand. The only thing I would change is the linear lock because it barely sticks out enough to engage it when trying to close it. All things considered this is still a great budget friendly knife with a lot going for it and I am now a big Civivi fan

Great knife my EDC

I randomly bought one of these CIVIVI's a few years ago and it soon became my everyday knife until I lost it during a recent ice storm so I immediately ordered another. Then a week later found my original. It stays sharp and is easy to open and close. Durable blade. I wish it were a little smaller, but is great for my purposes.

CIVIVI are nice, clip bends easily

This is my second Elementum. The first one was nice, and I gave it to be brother in law. Never give away something you wouldn't own yourself. I like the knife. Smooth with excellent quality. It came sharp and with nice wood. Very well made. Except the pocket clip. After carrying for a few weeks it no longer holds tight in my pocket. The metal for the clip is too soft. Was thinking of replacing the clip with something a little more sturdy. A great knife marred by a weak clip.
